Statement

"10"は、Whiteの本拠地である神保町を基に制作しています。この街は東京で最も書店が集中している地域であり、私はそれを古典や現代書、日本の本から洋書など様々な書籍が並ぶ、移動するアーカイブと捉え、いつかこの地区で実地作業を行いたいと考えていました。私はこの展示は単なる終着点ではなく、始点として捉えます。パリから、東京での10年間の写真を振り返り、19回の旅行で街を彷徨いながら（歩行、ランニング、交通機関、車など）撮影された直感的な写真群を、移動するアーカイブの概念に沿って展示します。異なるソースと種類の画像が、肉体的記憶、直感、感受性、動き、空間のプロセスをどのように明らかにするのか？感情と記憶が時間の経過とともに瞬間、建築物、物体、人々をどのように捉えるのか？画像が執着の度合いまで繰り返されるようになるのはなぜなのか？この写真群は何の無意識の仕事をするのか？これらが生み出す物理的、視覚的、嗅覚的、音響的な痕跡は何なのか？場所、感覚、色の記憶が画像を再集合させ、精神的に私たちを動かす方法は何なのか？この直感的な作業が、東京を見る際に私を無意識的および意識的に「層」（重なり）の問題に導いた方法は何なのか？

"10" is based on the gallery’s home district, Jinbōchō, the area with the highest concentration of bookshops in Tokyo. I saw It as an archive in motion, with books both antique and contemporary, Japanese and International. I wanted to work in situ on this district at a later date. Taking this exhibition as a starting point rather than an end in itself. From Paris, I decided to look back on my 10 years of photography in Tokyo, taken during 19 trips, in line with this idea of moving archive. Intuitive photographs taken while wandering around the city (walking, running, by transport, by cars). How this images from different sources and from different types, reveal the processes of bodily memory, intuition, sensitivity, movement, and space? How do emotions and memory capture moments, architecture, objects and people over time? How do images become recurrent to the point of obsession ? What unconscious work do they do ? What physical, visual, olfactory and sonic imprints do they create? How do memories of places, sensations and colors reconvene images and move us mentally? How this intuitive work have unconsciously and consciously guided me towards the questions of layers (Kasanari) while looking at Tokyo and and all the forms that inhabit it?

Biography

1982年生まれ。研究ベースのデザインスタジオ、ln lauthを設立。デザインという分野を形成する歴史的、建築的、美学的、社会的、地理的な力を調査。スタジオの活動は、プロダクトデザイン、ファッションデザイン、空間デザイン、ビジュアルワークなど、幅広い類型と手法を包含している。ボルドー美術大学でデザイン、パリのESAAデュプレ校でファッションを学び、スタジオのビジョンと手法を根付かせた。高級ファッションブランド、イノベーション・ラボ、現代振付家、職人、建築家、自治体、アートギャラリーなど、さまざまな分野とのコラボレーションを行なっている。

Born in 1982. She create ln lauth, a research-based design studio with in situ work as the foundation. Investigating the historical, architectural, aesthetical, social and geographical forces shaping the discipline of design. The studio’s practice embraces a broad spectrum of typologies and methods, through product design, fashion design, spatial design and visual work. Her training at the Beaux-Arts of Bordeaux in Design and in fashion at the ESAA Duperré in Paris, have rooted the studio’s vision and methods. This also allows the studio to collaborate in different fields with luxury fashion brands, innovation labs, contemporary choreographers, craftsmans, architects, municipality and art galleries.
